Crafted by Pascal Charles and his daughter Pauline, this wine comes from carefully tended vines rooted in clay-limestone soils near the village of Pommard. Traditional vinification and a meticulous 15-month aging in French oak barrels—35 to 40% of them new—allow the wine to fully reveal its deep character and typicity.
In the glass, it shows a vibrant ruby-red hue with purple reflections. The nose opens with intense aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant, and morello cherry, complemented by subtle notes of leather, bitter chocolate, and black pepper. On the palate, the attack is powerful and fresh, carried by firm tannins that evolve into a round, silky texture. The finish is long and delicately spiced, promising excellent cellaring potential.
